I just yesterday launched my podcast. The first episode -Introducing the chaos- The feed is at http://jennykbrennan.com/?feed=podcast
It's a bit thin right now. I have so much I want to say, recommendations, ideas, creative thoughts, all of those things that run around in my mind all the time.... oh, wait.. not that... moving on..
But I have little structure. The first episode kind of explains my thoughts but I feel like I'm missing something. Interesting people to talk to perhaps, original thoughts explored, new technology roadblocks for the disabled, slashing of ignorance. Those are all in my head, but as mentioned I have no structure, just a very easy and slow start in the first episode that is more rant than anything. I would like to hear your thoughts. Nothing is too weird for me, it is marked explicit so even though it's far from what many would consider explicit, I'm not afraid of bad language, anger, dirty truths, or anything like that.
I think out of the box and my podcast will not conform to a box, but I still need twenty or more minutes of silence to be filled with something meaningful. I really do want to know your thoughts, no matter how trivial.
What would be cool? Funny? What do you need to hear in a podcast that would make you come back to it?,
I think you have to pick one idea for each show and run with it. Whether that's finding interesting people to have on your podcast, making it interesting yourself, or some combination thereof. While a guest can help make something like this interesting, it's up to the host/creator to put a different spin on things, or to actually make it what it is. In today's digital world, that's quite a challenge, since so many people have access to audio production technology and want to put something out there. No one can actually give you the answer as to what would set your podcast apart from those of others, that's something which you have to do yourself. If others do it for you, it's not your own craft and your own original idea.
Hmm, yes. You gave me something to think about. A direction would be good. hehe. Thanks. The thought hit me though that even if guests would be cool, to have a guest for the sake of having a guest could get stilted and too obvious. It would have to be someone I really think would catch my interest to start with. I mean, if I'm not totally fascinated and genuinly curious, then why would a listener care... , *Gears are turning. .
I decided that I don't much care. So I'm going with cool sounding and funny. I have a co-host imp, a techno guru to add sounds, and my wicked brain. If noone listens, then at least I get to say what I wanted to say and express what I needed to express. :D

It's a bit slow to start with but four episodes are in the works, at some point in the production process; anywhere from thought to final mixing.
"Studio Chaotic - Where normality is outlawed and rules are tied in knots. It is marked as explicit on iTunes, but that's not for anything worse than rotten language.
Find it, hear it, review it. I would appreciate any thoughts on this project of mine.
